It is estimated that more than 1.1 million Americans have died of COVID-19 disease as of March 2023.1 The pandemic has had significant additional impact to health by consuming health care resources and impeding care for other diseases. One study estimated that the decline in cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment in just the first four months of the pandemic will lead to 10,000 additional deaths due to breast and colorectal cancer by 2030
